I don't know anyone who has read Midnighters who hasn't read Uglies. Actually, I don't know anyone who has read Midnighters period. Anyway, I love how Scoot created a whole new superficial world that resembles our world but changes it all at the same time!! Your opinions?

Duh! Scoot is awesome! I've read all his books and by far Scoot is my favorite author. Yay Scoot! Anyone who hasn't read the Midnighters series seriously needs to go read it before we all go crazy.....

I LOVE MIDNIGHTERS! AND THE UGLIES SERIES! I read the uglies series about two years ago, and then this October I read the Midnighters, and I just finished re-reading the Uglies series. I CANNOT GET AWAY FROM THEM. I am going to go CRAZY if Scoot (hehe!) doesn't write another Midnighters! They are amazing and addicting. Same with the Uglies series! Does anyone know if Scoot is writing a fifth Uglies book???

I love the Uglies series. It's the first books by Scott that I read. I read it a couple of years ago while I was in Arizona visiting my grandparents. My granddad was in the hospital, so my dad and grandma were over there most of the time. I was really bored so it was able to keep me entertained for a while. It also helped me cope with my sadness when my granddad died just after I left to go back home.

I'm glad that it helped you. I don't know what I would do if my grandfather died. So, has anyone read The Last Days, the sequel to Peeps? It's a pretty decent book. p.s. hehe, Scoot:)

Ha, I read Midnighters first. At that time I had some issues with reality; suffice it to say I was obsessive for at least a year after reading the series. Since reading Midnighters, I've made it a point to read everything that I can by Scott. It's actually really hard to get a hold of his earlier stuff (that's actually adult and not YA). Though I have managed to read 'Risen Empire' and 'Killing of Worlds'. I've read all the YA except for Extras, now it would just be really amazing if I could manage to get a copy of 'Polymorph' which (to my knowledge) isn't even in print any more.
update: I have since read Extras and Bogus to Bubbly, so I'm all caught up there. Still have not managed to get my hands on a copy of Polymorph and the other sci-fi stuff. Can't wait 'til September (Leviathan release, last I checked).

When I first read the Uglies Trilogy, I thought there couldn't be anything more awesome out there. Then I read the Midnighters trilogy There's no denying that Uglies is genius, though. It's not quite a dystopia because it manages to be upbeat, but I guess the best way to describe it is that it downright fascinating.

Haha, Scoot. Do I foresee a new nickname? His earlier stuff is harder to find but my library has a program where I can get any book in British Columbia (the province in which I live). I haven't taken much advantage of that and I really should. Another one of Scott's books I really like is So Yesterday. I think just maybe that and the Midnighters are my favourites. Tough call though, they're all so good.

I recentall read peeps and i didnt like it as well as midnighters and uglies. It still had Scoot's distinctive flavour of writing but it was different and i couldn;t get into it as much.
