TOUCHING DARKNESS IS DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE BOOK! I love the way Scott crafts this book. It is stuffed with intense scenes and imagery on every single page! It leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat every time you pick it up. My favorite scene is during the BIG night when everything happens....and Melissa is driving Really Really fast around midnight....(I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't read it.) This scene shows how much Melissa really cares about Rex. I was wondering what YOUR favorite scene is from this book?

Yes this book is my favorite too. I also love the scene with Melissa driving insanely fast. It was so intense!

Yeah, the second is waaaaay better than the third! I mean sad much? I love the part when Jonathon randomly pops out of nowhere after the secret hour to meet Beth at the end of the book. She was scared silly!

I think what I liked most about it was that it had the most tridecalogisms; yeah, I'm a word nerd, lol. Also I liked that I was able to understand most of what was going on without having read the first book (checked it out without realizing that it was in fact the second book).

The second book beats Twilight by light years. I could barely get through the first 3 chapters of that book when I had to put it down.

Touching Darkness is my fave too. I think it's because the second book is where Scott tantalizingly reveals all kinds of things we never knew about the world of the Midnighters. Not only that, but there is a LOT of character development in TD. I love all of the scenes between Rex and Melissa.

lol; one of my favourite lines is in one of the first of those scenes, I was even going to use it as my sig but couldn't (not effectively anyway) due to its containing one certain world. *pout*
